Access to the Profession Study

How access to the architectural profession is regulated – national frameworks and evidence across 54 countries and four core areas: access to the profession, recognition of third-country qualifications, continuing professional development, and registers and fees.

The study covers the EU Member States, the United Kingdom, the EEA/EFTA countries and selected international comparators. Every observation is drawn from a published source and rated for how well that source supports it. Where the record is silent, the study records the silence rather than filling it.

The study is presented by the Architects’ Council of Europe and co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
